Important Recommendation for Protecting Your Golf Equipment
Dear Golfers,
In light of the exceptionally high temperatures we are currently experiencing, our product development team would like to share an urgent recommendation regarding the safe storage of your golf equipment.
When outdoor temperatures approach 40°C, the interior of a vehicle parked in direct sunlight can quickly reach 60°C or more. Individual surfaces inside the vehicle may become even hotter, reaching temperatures of between 70°C and 80°C. This extreme heat can place considerable stress on the different materials and components used throughout your golf equipment.
Modern golf clubs and golf bags are made from a carefully engineered combination of metals, composites, plastics, foams, textiles and specialised adhesives. When exposed to high temperatures for an extended period, these materials may expand at different rates, soften or deform. This can create internal stress and affect the stability and durability of individual components.
The adhesive connections between the clubhead and shaft, as well as the bonds securing the grips, may be particularly sensitive. Extreme heat can soften adhesives, potentially causing connections to loosen or separate. Prolonged thermal stress may also cause shafts to warp or alter some of their original material properties. In golf bags, plastics, coatings, foam components and bonded layers may deform, separate or suffer permanent damage. Not every heat-related change will be immediately visible, but it may still affect the equipment’s performance, reliability and overall service life.
We therefore strongly recommend that you do not leave golf clubs, golf bags or accessories inside a vehicle during the current period of extreme heat – not even in the boot or for what may seem like a short time. Instead, please store your equipment in a dry, well-ventilated and preferably cool location, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations.
This simple precaution can help prevent avoidable damage while preserving the quality, performance and best possible longevity of your golf equipment.
Thank you for your attention and for taking good care of your equipment.
Kind regards,
Your Product Development Team
